Best iPhone 2021: Which Apple iPhone Should You Choose?
There are a lot of factors you need to consider before taking the plunge into purchasing a new Apple iPhone. Your needs, budget, and aesthetic preferences should be pretty much covered by Apple’s impressive range of products. Make sure to research and compare the different models to find the best fit for you.
On average, you can expect to find that an iPhone will last you for at least four years, before the software updates are no longer compatible.
Alternatively, many telephone providers offer packages where you can upgrade each year with set payment plans.
What are Apple’s newest releases?
In October 2020, Apple released four new phone models: the iPhone12, the iPhone 12 Pro, the iPhone 12 Pro Max and the iPhone 12 mini.
Don’t get us wrong, we’re not saying it’s always necessary to go for the latest and greatest Apple has to offer. In fact, many of the models on our list below are from previous lines such as the iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 and iPhone SE. However, for most people, the iPhone 12 may actually be a superior choice to make your investment worthwhile.
So, check out our list below with a range of prices, features and physical elements like colour and size:
iPhone 12
This new release truly offers the best value for money, it’s got a great OLED display and is future proofed with 5G capability. It’s also got a lengthy list of impressive new features that may prove useful in coming years.
You can choose a great 6.1-inch screen size which is more than enough for most people.
- Storage options: 64GB/128GB/256GB
- Rear camera: 12MP + 12MP
- Front camera:12MP
The only con really is that the cameras are almost identical to the slightly older 11 model.
iPhone 12 mini
If you’re not too fussed about having a larger screen size, why not save some money and go for the almost identical iPhone12 mini? The screen size is 5.4inches, and all features are otherwise identical aside from slower wireless charging and a few spec changes.
- Storage options: 64GB/128GB/256GB
- Rear camera: 12MP + 12MP
- Front camera:12MP
iPhone 11
Although it’s not one of Apple’s newest releases, prior to the iPhone 12 series the iPhone 11 was an absolute favourite. It’s excellent value for money, up to 4GB RAM, great resolution and large screen size, with identical cameras to the 12. The only real downside is the LCD screen, although, this at least allows for a great battery life.
- Storage options: 64GB/128GB/256GB
- Rear camera: 12MP + 12MP
- Front camera:12MP
iPhone SE
If you’re on a tighter budget but don’t want to compromise a lot of the benefits from the new iPhone ranges, the iPhone SE is the cheapest iPhone Apple are currently selling at the moment. It’s smaller 4.7inch screen makes for an incredibly lightweight design too.
With a similar design to the iPhone 8, this model has far superior internal elements such as an A13 Bionic chipset, identical to the other more expensive iPhones above. It’s got great features such as touch ID for quicker unlocking, however, lacks slightly in the battery department.
- Storage options: 64GB/128GB/256GB
- Rear camera: 12MP
- Front camera:7MP
